The Electrician program saved me a lot of grunt work. Compared to pre-employment graduates or people who start apprenticeships without work experience, you are basically jumping the line. Really good instructors and so many relationships with companies that you're going to get a good job out of this program if you do the work. I had a retail job in Calgary until I was 23, which is when I decided I wanted to challenge myself and start a new career. Looking back, I wish I started at SAIT sooner!

My diploma from SAIT has paid off for me. Employers recognize it (at least in western Canada) and it has opened a lot of doors for me when applying to jobs. I did advanced training at another college, but it didn't come close to my experience at SAIT. Great instructors. Solid reputation. I would recommend it for my program and probably all of the trade programs at the college.
BE WARNED!!! SAIT unethical and unfair business practice that you need to be aware of so you don't waste your time and money!I applied to SAIT in May for an OPEN advertised program, waited 2 months + for an update on my application status only to be told that the same program been advertised as Open to the public up until the 1st week of July was actually filled by early February.I reached out to the CEO, who passed my concerns on to his registrar, who up till my writting have not deem it fit to address and provide answers as to why an institution would advertised a non existent program defrauding applicants of their hard earned money and causing so much frustration and uncertainty. So to avoid the same frustration and waste of time and resource that I experienced, you are better off seeking admission from any other institution.
